AT SEA, Wednesday, April 2

What a wonderful party we had last night! Gary really outdid himself & wrote me the most incredible poem. That was the first time he ever wrote poetry and it was just beautiful. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and all made a toast. The room looked gorgeous with balloons everywhere. The food was the best and we had 2 bottles of Champagne & 5 bottles of wine. The cake was enormous and just loaded with liquor, but everyone really enjoyed it. Gary gave me a necklace that he bought in Cochin, India that is absolutely gorgeous. It's several strands that hang together to form a pattern. This is the first time my birthday/anniversary has been celebrated on a ship...it was great.
